Phara E. McLachlanChief Executive OfficerPhara McLachlan is the Chairwoman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Animus Solutions. McLachlan was appointed to Chief Executive Officer in March 2006 and Chairwoman in January 2007. Previously, she served as President and Chief Operating Officer. McLachlan is focused on the strategic vision of the company as well as bringing the best solutions – people, products and processes – to clients.
Prior to Animus Solutions, McLachlan consulted independently with CIOs and CTOs from mid-sized to Fortune 1000 organizations in industries ranging from energy and insurance to banking, government and technology. She has helped companies optimize their IT asset management, software asset management, business processes, technology implementations and project leadership while saving them valuable time and millions of dollars.
McLachlan is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a well-reputed contributor to industry publications. Guest Speaker on radio shows My Technology Lawyer and ComputerWorld. Active member of the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), IT Financial Management Association (ITFMA), Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She also holds certifications in CITAM, CSAM, and ITIL. Phara McLachlan holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from University of South Florida.

Pete Nielsen
Chief Operating Officer and VP of Finance
Pete Nielsen is the Chief Operating Officer and VP of Finance of Animus Solutions. His responsibilities include oversight of accounting, finance, human resources and administration, as well as providing project management and client relations management for selected customer initiatives.
For more than 20 years, Nielsen has been at the front of Internet, telecom and software security projects, working at companies including Verizon, VeriSign and WorldSpace. He has led projects in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Russia, as well as in the US. In 1994, Nielsen founded the first (and still the largest) Internet Service Provider in Uganda, East Africa. At Verizon, he established a partnership with Gilat, Inc. in Israel, and working with them, he led the development of a satellite communications product that is still marketed today, more than fifteen years later. At WorldSpace Corp., Nielsen led a team to develop the first direct-to-consumer satellite data distribution system in Africa and Asia. As an independent consultant, he has conducted country telecom assessments in Africa for World Bank initiatives. Nielsen served as the first COO and then CMO at Authentium, Inc., a provider of security software, which Internet Service Providers offer under their own brand names.
Nielsen is a graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology. Since 2007, he has served as the Honorary Consul from the Republic of Uganda to Florida. He is an active member of the Consular Corps of Miami. |
